Update: The Flood Watch has been extended through noon today, due to the potential for more rain in already saturated areas.Wednesday morning. The Weather Alert has been extended through today due to additional rain and tidal flooding that could cause prolonged flooding along and near tidal waterways.Showers with thunderstorms will move through the forecast area and south of the stalled frontal boundary, mainly across northeast Florida and along the beaches. Mild weather is expected over southeast Georgia as high pressure and drier air act to inhibit showers and thunderstorms.The breezy northeasterly flow and continued coastal hazards will include minor tidal flooding, dangerous surf, strong rip currents, and beach erosion. Tidal increases of 1.5 to 2.5 feet above normally dry ground will be possible through Thursday.
